听力录音稿:
Text 1
M: Thank you, Anna, for inviting us to such a great dinner. You must have spent all day cooking.
W: Oh, my pleasure. But it really only took an hour.
Text 2
M: I'm going for pizza after class, wanna join me?
W: I'd love to, but I promised to help my roommate with her science project. Maybe next time.
Text 3
W: I still can’t believe it! I’ve never won anything before!
M: I’m so jealous — front row seats! And you don’t even really like her that much.
Text 4
M: Hey, what are you doing? That’s my . . . oh, my bad. Sorry, it looks just like mine.
W: Don’t tell me you chose pink?  M: No, it’s my mom’s. She let me drive it today because it’s raining.
Text 5
M: I can’t wait till next Friday!W: Why? It’s just like every other Friday — four hours of special math and English classes after school.
Text 6
W: Did you see what Jenny's brought back from Hong Kong?
M: I sure did. She forgot to turn it off before physics. I thought Mr. Smith was going to take it from her and throw it out the window!
W: Her mom would have been so angry if she'd lost it on the first day.
M:  Nah, her mom has so much money; she'd just have bought her another one.
W:  Probably, but I don’t think her mom would make a special trip to Hong Kong just to buy her a new one. It’s still not available in Beijing.
Text 7
M: Hey, Ann! Can you believe it’s already Thanksgiving?
W: Yeah, Bill, I know! Where did the year go?
M: So, what are you doing for Thanksgiving? You’re from back east, aren’t you? Are you going home?
W: Well, I was going to go home. My family is all in Connecticut. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy my ticket before the prices went up; now, I can’t afford to. So, I guess I’ll just find a restaurant that’s open and serving turkey.
M: Don’t do that! Come to our place. We’ve got plenty of food. Plus, my wife and I really want you to meet her younger brother.   W: Younger brother? Hmm, what’s he like?
M: Tall, dark, and handsome, naturally! No, really, he’s a year younger than my wife, finishing up med school, and a truly great guy — lots of fun. I’m sure you’ll like him.
W: Well, I guess it would be all right. I do like your wife, so her brother can’t be too bad. Okay, yes, thanks. I’ll come. What time and what can I bring?
M: We’re eating at 4:00 p.m., but feel free to come any time after 1:00 p.m. We’ll be watching the game. Oh, and don’t bring anything. We have more than enough already! See you Thursday!
W: Right, see you Thursday!
Text 8
W: I think I’ll get a cat.   M: What? A cat? Why a cat? Dogs are much better.
W: No way. Dogs are nice, but you have to get up early to walk them, then walk them some more when you get home from work, and then walk them yet again before bed. Plus, you have to carry plastic bags and scoop up the poop! Ugh!   M: Okay, but with cats you still have the litter box to clean. And they don’t always come when you call them. In fact, they usually go the other way!
W: Not Siamese. They are a little like dogs. They come when you call them, usually. And they like to play fetch. Some have even been trained to use the toilet.
M: No way! Really? Well, it sounds like you’ve made up your mind and you almost have me convinced to get one, too!
Text 9
M: So, tell me Marci, when did you first want to become an astronaut?

W: Well, Dan, I think I fell in love with the stars during my first camping trip. I was about four. My parents decided that we’d go camping for our vacation that year. They bought a big family tent, a small tent for my older brothers, a cook stove, everything for a great adventure. Then, we headed off to the coast. My folks chose a beautiful campground at the ocean. After we set up camp, my brothers and I ran up and down the beach flying kites, built sand castles, and jumped the waves. We had so much fun, but what I loved more than anything else was when it got dark and the sky would slowly fill with hundreds and thousands of tiny sparkling lights. They looked like diamonds! I wanted to get close to them, to touch them. And now I finally am, well, getting closer to them anyway.
M: Yes, you certainly are. Well, we all wish you a successful flight and will watch you as you lift off next week. You’ll have to come back and tell us what it was like when you return.
W: Thank you, Dan. I’d be happy to.
Text 10
Of course, your trip to Beijing won’t be complete if you don’t bring home some tea. The best place to buy tea and experience Chinese tea culture, is to take a taxi or bus to Ma Lian Dao street or Tea Street. Buses 46, 414, and 609 stop near the south end of the street. Although normally tea can only be purchased in the region in which it is grown. For example, Dragon Well tea is grown and sold in Hangzhou. However, on Tea Street the best tea from every corner of China is available. Here you will find many small family-run tea stalls and several large buildings filled with tea shops. Every one of the shops will invite you to sit down and slowly sample their teas. They will explain the similarities and differences, why and when a particular tea is meant to be drunk, how many times you can use the leaves, what temperature the water should be — everything you need to know in order to enjoy a good cup of tea. Some shops will specialize in teas from just one region; others will carry only one kind of tea — green, black, white, or pu’er- — from all regions; while others still will carry just the top quality of all teas. You can buy every type of tea accessory, teacup, and teapot here, too. You could spend an entire day just visiting one or two shops!
