第二节  书面表达(满分25分)
Dear friends,
Welcome to our school! I am li Hua, president of the Students’ Union. Let me tell you how we take physical exercise in my school.
Since April 2014 my school has taken part in the Sunny Sports Program. The students who live on campus are organized to run between 6:00 am and 6:20 am every morning. All the students are required to run for twenty minutes during the long break in the morning and afternoon. Apart from two PE classes every week, we can also play our favorite sports from 5:20 pm to 5:50 pm every day.
It is by doing so that we build up our body and cultivate our mind, which benefits our studies. Therefore, students here enjoy good health and an active lifestyle.
That’s all. Thank you.
附 听力材料:
Text 1
W: Paul, could you go over the shopping list and see if there’s anything else you need?
M: Yes, Darling. Well, it’s included everything.
Text 2
M: Excuse me. I’ve been waiting here for 15 minutes. Do you know how often does No. 3 run?
W: Oh, it runs every 20 minutes. It should be here any minute now.
Text 3
W: Do you think you could keep the noise down?
M: I’m sorry. Am I keeping you awake?
W: Yes. And another thing, would you mind not making long distance calls?
Text 4
M: I go hiking in summer and in winter I ski.
W: Do you mind if I come along sometime?
W: No, not at all.
Text 5
M: How long have you been in pain?
W: It started to hurt when I was eating dinner.
M: Open your mouth, please…Mm, it’s quite serious. I’m afraid we’ll have to pull the tooth out.
Text 6
M: Is anybody waiting on you?
W: No. I’m trying to find a green sweater in extra large.
M: We have your size, but not in that color.
W: Can you order one for me?
M: Certainly. Just give me your name and address.
Text 7
M: I’m trying to decide what school to apply for.
W: Are you thinking about a public school or a private one?
M: I’m not sure. What’s the difference between them?
W: Public schools are usually state funded, while private schools usually get their funding
elsewhere.
M: Which is better?
W: One isn’t necessarily better than the other. It depends a lot on the school administration and the
teachers.
M: I hear you have to wear uniforms at private schools.
W: Yeah, sometimes.
Text 8
W: Why do you want to spend your summer days in a mountain village?
M: I think a mountain village is splendid!
W: I don’t think so. It’s too small.
M: But it has fresh air, and it is nicer than a big town.
W: I think a big town is more lively.
M: Still, I like the small mountain village. The big town is noisy. How pleasant it is when walking along the hill!
W: Well, alright, I agree with you about that, but I still prefer a big town.
Text 9
M: Hello! How are you today?
W: Hi. I’m feeling very nervous. I just had a test and I’m not sure how well or how badly I did.
M: It’s no use worrying about it now. You’ve done the test and you can’t change any of your answers.
W: That’s true. I really should go home and prepare for the next test, but I’m feeling tired.
M: Let’s go and get a coffee together. That will help you to refresh yourself!
W: OK. I feel like sitting down and having a chat. How have you been recently?
M: Oh, you know me. I’m always happy! If I think I’m getting into a bad mood, I call some friends and have a chat.
W: That’s a good idea. I usually just sit at home alone and get increasingly upset.
M: I hate spending too much time at home. I get bored of it really quickly. I’m always excited about going out to parties or clubs or some other places and meeting people.
W: Perhaps I’m being too shy. I should go out more too and not spend time worrying about tests!
Text 10
Ice climbing is similar to mountain climbing. However, instead of being on hard stone, ice climbers move up, down, and even across walls of cold ice.
One difficult thing about ice climbing is that the ice in one place can change from day to day. It can even change from hour to hour. The best way to go up a wall of ice in the morning may not be the best way to come down again later. Ice climbers have to learn how to see differences in the ice. They must also be able to change their plans accordingly.
Some things are very important to help keep ice climbers safer when they climb. First of all,
they need special boots to keep their feet warm. These boots also help stop them from falling when they put their feet down on the ice. Secondly, ice climbers need an ice ax. They can use this
ax to make small openings in the ice. They can then carefully place their feet in the openings. The
third important thing they need is a rope system. Climbers often only use one rope, but sometimes
they use two.
Now let’s take a look at something special that all ice climbers put on their boots ?xcrampons. Crampons hold climbers’ feet securely as they place them on the ice. The crampons actually go into the ice and give the climber a secure place to step. People say that crampons are responsible for saving many climbers’ lives because they stop them from falling.
