Recently, different kinds of rumors have occurred frequently. We often hear about scandals of both famous people and ordinary people, fake forecast of earthquakes and so on.
If we turn a blind eye to them, these rumors will definitely result in such serious consequences as affecting those people’s daily life and ruining their public image. What’s worse, spreading rumors about social or natural disasters may even cause panic as well as disorder among society.
Considering the seriousness of this problem, laws and regulations should be made to punish those spreading rumors severely. As for us students, neither should we believe in rumors easily nor spread rumors deliberately.
